Thames Water Site Line Marking Works – London
This week, Archway Highway Services successfully completed a comprehensive programme of line marking works for Thames Water at one of their busy London operational sites. The project involved a full review, reconfiguration, and installation of new thermoplastic road markings across the internal road network, with a strong focus on improving safety, clarity, and traffic flow for all site users.
Working within a live operational environment, our team carefully planned and executed the works to minimise disruption while maintaining safe access for vehicles, staff, and contractors. The scope included the removal and alteration of existing markings, followed by precise setting out and application of new thermoplastic lines, symbols, and safety features.
Key elements of the project included refreshed centre lines, directional arrows, speed limit roundels, pedestrian walkways, give-way markings, and clearly defined hatchings to control vehicle movement and parking. High-wear areas such as junctions, ramps, and crossing points were given particular attention to ensure maximum visibility and durability.
Thermoplastic was selected for its long-lasting performance, excellent reflectivity, and suitability for high-traffic environments. All works were carried out to current industry standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering a clean, professional finish throughout the site.
The completed scheme now provides a safer and more efficient layout, helping to reduce risk, improve navigation, and support the daily operations of this busy Thames Water facility.
